Kristin Weiss

Bio

Kristin joined Taylor Huguley Powers PLLC in September 2024. Kristin developed a passion for family law even before she finalized her decision to go to law school. In law school, Kristin was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, as well as the Moot Court Board, which fine-tuned her oral advocacy skills. She received the highest grade in her Virginia Focused Family Law class, strengthening her decision to practice family law after graduation. As a student, Kristin was a summer research assistant; she interned at a legal nonprofit with a focus on domestic violence and abuse issues; and she clerked for a Fairfax-based family law firm.

Before joining our firm, Kristin served as a law clerk for the Honorable Christie A. Leary of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. During her time as a law clerk, Kristin drafted orders and letter opinions, reviewed countless motions, and observed dozens of court hearings.

In her free time, Kristin enjoys spending time with her children, playing board games, baking, and watching Lord of the Rings.
